Carolina Landing, Fair Play, SC 

This is the second campground in our Thousand Trails network, we have been here before but never had a second vehicle, so we weren’t able to wander about much.  We were here for another 21 days.  During this 21 day stay we will be celebrating Brians 47 birthday on Halloween. 

Were prepared to decorate this time for Halloween so we purchased a blow-up dragon and went to setting up our site.  Unlike the last campsite we were the only ones set up for Halloween. 

Brian found this great boat launch not far away for the dogs to get out and stretch their legs and swim.  Bristol has always been our swimmer, but this year Tanna is learning and venturing into the water more and more.  Plus, Brian has really been working with the dogs and has been able to take them to other sites to visit without any issue.  I am very proud of how much he has worked with them.  I still worry because the campground rules say dogs must be on leashes, but he has control. 

He got one of our new friends we met at the Hideaway bar that is staying here at the campground to lend him his golf cart for a night.  He went crazy carting with one of our other neighbors that night hitting all the trails around the park.  I would say that was a highlight of his stay here. 

We went out to the Hideaway to celebrate Brian birthday it is the first time we went out since we started this journey.  We have met some really great people around here and would definitely come back again some time. 

The 2020 Election happened while we were here.  Biden says he won, Trump says he won we really won’t know until the election is certified.  There is a lot of concern with false ballots being cast and counted.  It is a little crazy.  So we have decided to get to Texas before or if Biden takes office he plans to shut down the country again because of Covid, and with him in office gas prices are sure to skyrocket again.   We have (7) Thousand Trail Campgrounds in Texas and are hoping to be able to bounce around them for a while until we know more of what may or may not happen with the election.
