Stone Mountain Georgia
I have always wanted to see the Confederate monument at Stone Mountain, and in today’s racially trying times I wanted to make sure we saw it before it disappeared like so many other Confederate related statues in the recent years. We stayed at the Stone Mountain Campground which was a really nice campground. However, it rained the whole time we were there; however it really defined the carving. As always Brian makes friends with all out neighbors and amazingly runs into a fellow Montanan. The gentleman was in the air force and currently stationed in Georgia. We found an Authentic German Restaurant called The Village Corner and of course Brian had to have smoked sausage and sauerkraut. YUCK! I had the Sauerbraten which is basically pot roast. We left Stone Mountain the next day headed for South Carolina
